We are paying Brock 265 mil. We have a little over 50 mil in cap space. We need to before the trade deadline get an o-lineman either a lg or rt who can actually protect Brock and give him a clean pocket. I know they are trying to save some of that money for future years but we dont want Brock to keep running for his life and making mistakes that can be fixed if he had those few extra seconds because of a clean pocket. If anyone can figure out the math Im pretty sure Paarag can and and Lynch can find us a stud LG or RT.

Some fans only dwell on what wasn't perfect. Brock made some mistakes but he also made some great throws and decisions.
- 1 of the INT was a great play by the LB. he dropped real deep, yo ucan tell he was watching film. lol
- 1 of the INT was a forced play by brock.
- We were missing kittle, which is huge loss, especially when we were down other guys.
- multiple drives with 0 points because of ST.

as a whole, we played an ugly game. brock didn't play his best game, but we won. we won IN seattle. we did a lot to beat ourselves but ultimately didnt. it's a positive. we clean up some things we would of been blowing them out. Seattle has a really good defense.

Good post.

The one INT over the middle would have been a completion if CMC had not stayed in to block thereby taking him out of the zone the LB vacated. That play is such an automatic otherwise.

Coaches look for wins first of all, and then look for coaching points. It is not often you get as much to coach and still get a win as we did today.

That TD hit the CB in the hands first

Up and down game, love the aggressiveness but he needs to be smarter

i get it, not his fault he only has pearsall and tonges to throw to but still
That's about all that needs be said.

So much of the passing game is about chemistry and timing. When you only have one of the regular guys to throw to, it messes everything up.
Meh

If Tonges doesn't snag that ball out of DB's hands for the game winning TD, that would've been 3 INTs by BP

And if Kittle didn't catch the first TD he would have thrown zero.

Meh, some just can't take criticism. That was not a great game by Brock and he's lucky Tonges bailed him out which what very well could've been another int. Now I'll take the win and it's far too early to panic but let's not act like he's free from criticisms.

I'm not picking on you 4putt, but I want to challenge the idea that Tonges bailed him out.

I can think of a ton of times when Rodgers would throw up a Hail Mary to one of his big guys, or Brady throw one up for Moss, or any number of other situations, and the QB got credit for putting the ball up in the air for his guy to make a play on it. All of those throws looked like 50/50 balls when they left the QB's hand but they got the result. It's the reason you throw it in the direction of your guy who is 4" taller and 40 pounds heavier than the opponent. Let's give Purdy a little credit for taking the chance to win the game.

Also weird game by the Oline - thought their run blocking was terrible and their pass blocking was half awesome and half terrible.

I don't disagree that the OL was having trouble. However, that Seattle front 7 is still below the radar for many people. Over the last half of the season last year, they were one of the very best in the league. I would be willing to bet they will make a lot of OLs look bad this year. Those cats are dawgs.

Yeah this is why I'm not here arguing it. I hate to be all negative after a win. This game very well could've been entirely different if we didn't continuously shoot ourselves in the foot. Brock kept the play alive and gave his guy a shot. I still maintain that he as well as a lot of other players left too much out on the field and has a lot to clean up, but I refuse to hound on it. Regardless, as others have pointed out, we lost these games last year. Tough to be too negative after a win against Seattle.

Run blocking has to improve next week,

It can always be better but we did get 119 on the ground.

That wasn't a hail mary situation though. It was a 3rd down play, where a field goal on 4th ties it, and a very questionable decision that worked because of a great play by our receiver and a piss poor one by Woolen. Glad it worked out… definitely not something we want to see again. I don't think it will be praised in the film room.

Purdy did the math on the probabilities of Moody making that kick to tie the game in real time and decided there was a better chance of success by throwing to Jake Tonges with the DB standing right there. Not sure I can disagree.
